2o19 Bahá’í Feasts and Holy Days

The Bahá’í calendar consists of 19 months of 19 days. A community gathering, known as a Feast, is held on the first day of each Bahá’í month. A Feast consists of three parts: a devotional period, an opportunity to consult together about community affairs, and a time for socializing.

  • March 20/21 – Feast of Splendour
  • April 08/09 – Feast of Glory
  • April 27/28 – Feast of Beauty
  • May 16/17 – Feast of Grandeur
  • June 04/05 – Feast of Light
  • June 23/24 – Feast of Mercy
  • July 12/13 – Feast of Words
  • July 31/August 1 – Feast of Perfection
  • August 19/20 – Feast of Names
  • September 07/08 – Feast of Might
  • September 26/27 – Feast of Will
  • October 15/16 – Feast of Knowledge
  • November 03/04 – Feast of Power
  • November 22/23 – Feast of Speech
  • December 11/12 – Feast of Questions
  • December 30/31 – Feast of Honour

 

2019 Holy Days:

  • March 21 – Naw-Rúz (New Year)
  • April 21 – First Day of Ridván (4:00 p.m.)
  • April 29 – Ninth Day of Ridván
  • May 02 – Twelfth Day of Ridván
  • May 24 – Declaration of the Báb (two hours after sunset)
  • May 29 – Ascension of Bahá’u’lláh (4:00 a.m.)
  • July 10 – Martyrdom of the Báb (1:00 p.m.)
  • October 29 – Birth of the Báb
  • October 30 – Birth of Bahá’u’lláh
  • November 26 – Day of the Covenant
  • November 28 – Ascension of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá (1:00 a.m.)

2019 Other events:

  • February 25 to March 01 – Intercalary Days (Ayyám-i-Há)
  • March 02-20 – The Fast
